A & A J Tomlinson Building Contractors were carefully selected by the Committee of the Club to build the Pavilion Extension in 2012 - following rigorous assessment of alternative companies. The work was completed according to plan in spite of atrocious weather. Based on their workmanship and professional approach, the company was again selected in 2016 to build the kitchen extension. Once more, the workmanship has been outstanding and we have no hesitation in recommending them to any organisation or individual looking for a totally reliable firm of builders.

Bowling Green Maintenance
Prior to the bowling green re-opening - on Sunday 26 March 2017 - an extensive (and costly) programme of ground maintenance is now underway.

The videos and photos below show aerating of the playing surface, using a commercial Verti-drain machine on Friday 2 December 2016

Verti-draining is basically putting holes in the green to allow air to get into the green's subsoil, breaking up the thatch in the subsoil, and also allowing the green to drain properly.

The machine also raises the ground very slightly - enabling thatch in the subsoil to be destroyed by micro-bacteria following application of chemicals.

Christmas Draw and Buffet - 14 December 2916
The Christmas Draw and Buffet took place at the Clubhouse on Wednesday 14 December 2016 at 7:30 p.m
As usual it was a very well-attended evening with over 60 members present.
The buffet was excellent and thanks again to the 'catering team' for all their hard work.
Over 90 prizes had been donated to the raffle which raised a significant sum of money.
Thanks to all the members who bought raffle tickets, supplied prizes and sold tickets on behalf of the Club.
